Verdict

Hisaabaat only just failed to catch Ballyadam Brook over this trip at Listowel and should get involved again from a 4lb higher mark. Winning bumper Gusty Rocky battled to victory in a ladies maiden over this trip at Tramore then ran well in a better race at Limerick. BAYAN was a big disappointment when sent to Ripon where he started favourite but his earlier efforts, which included a close third in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham, point to his obvious chances and he looks the one to be on. It's unusual to see Jim Bolger running a seven-year-old, especially one with an absence of more than two years, so Ri An Domhnaigh must be thought capable of paying his way and the market is best watched. Resiliency takes a big leap in trip after landing some big bets in a Down Royal maiden but is at the right end of the handicap and there should be much more to come.
