Verdict

ERNEST HEMINGWAY is still in the Juddmonte though the Irish St Leger looks his main target after he demolished last year's winner of the classic, Royal Diamond, over 1m6f at the Curragh in June. The runner-up will be 6lb better off and has since found winning form but Aidan O'Brien's colt looked a really improved performer and should confirm running. Three-year-olds don't have a great record in this but Scintillula is a worthy opponent after defeating the odds-on Mars over 1m1f in a Group 3 at here. She had earlier finished a close fourth in the Irish Oaks and is progressing fast enough to give the selection a run. St Jean is decent enough but has done nothing to suggest he can come up trumps against these rivals.
