Verdict

Albaqaa won over a mile here last season and is back on a winning mark. But SILVER DIXIE has won over today's longer trip before and this is easier than his most recent task at Ascot. Peter Hedger's charge is preferred to Response, who makes his belated handicap debut on his first start of the year. Le Deluge and Watersmeet have both been beaten off higher marks since winning at Redcar and Haydock respectively and the former still carries a penalty. Chapter And Verse can race off a much lower mark on Turf but hasn't won on this surface since 2009.
