In depth

Verdict

A poor turn-out for this valuable prize and Levera could be the answer, Eisteddford should get the better of Fajr for the runners up spot. Alan King's star rarely runs a bad race and again did well at Windsor recently when third to the smart Army Of Angels. This trip is ideal, where as the his main rival would probably be better over a furlong less and so he looks the best option. Eisteddfod did disappoint last time out when well behind Wise Dennis in a competitive handicap, but will be better suited by this small field. Meanwhile Fajr has been running well enough but has plenty to find on official ratings and he looks booked for the wooden spoon. It it a shame about the size of the field, but it does give Levera an excellent chance of returning to winning ways.
