In depth

Verdict

Miss Shakira took a handicap in great style last time and can follow up here in what looks an easier race, Celtic Blaze and Cansalrun can be expected to fight out the places. The Nigel Twiston-Davies trained mare, absolutely hacked up when beating Call Me Jack in that Hereford contest. Giving just two pounds away to her main rivals today she will be very hard to beat. Celtic Blaze was well beaten over two and a half miles last time, but probably found the ground too testing. She is better judged on her previous run when successful at Sedgefield. Cansalrun has modest form but is consistent and if the other two make mistakes she should be the one to benefit. Lago D'Oro could be the pick of the others, but Miss Shakira is easily the form pick and she gets our vote.
