Verdict

ORATORIO'S JOY is coming down the weights and this looks his best chance for some time. He gets the nod ahead of Automotive, who won an amateur riders' race at Newbury two weeks ago. Ryan Moore takes over the reins on the latter and he looks the danger as Poor Duke only won a seller at Wolverhampton in April and was well beaten back in a handicap at Carlisle 10 days ago. Ian Williams' stable is going well but Nubar Boy has his stamina to prove will need to settle better than he did at Lingfield last time. Saint Thomas has won off a higher mark but has disappointed recently on the Flat.
