Verdict

APOCALOZZO is the pick in this contest with Team Chaser and Kinkeel others to make our shortlist. Tim Vaughan has done well with his runners at modest level and this race looks to be very typical of the sort of prize he has specialised in farming. He almost gave a sizeable weight to Alderbrook Girl at Folkestone before that lightly weighted rival made weight in testing conditions count. Team Chaser hasn't been seen out since November when well beaten at Haydock Park in a conditional riders race. Jim Old's horses have caught the eye on more than one occasion of late so watch the market in relation to this lightly raced sort. Kinkeel won at Hereford and was given a fair old hike up the weights as a consequence. Although modest, he is genuine in his relativity to others. Supreme Leisure was once thought to be one of the most promising bumper horses of his generation. His form tailed off badly but he managed to keep on his feet when others did not do so at Uttoxeter but it is a hard hearted handicapper that sticks him up 8lb for accepting a race thrust upon him rather than won in the open. Macmoto is a far from fluent conveyance but that didn't stop the punters getting stuck into him last time out. Donald Will Do showed well for a long way at Ludlow before failing to stay the three mile trip at that pace. Apocalozzo is the pick in a race that is strong in numbers but lacks punting appeal.
