    Verdict

This looks an interesting juvenile maiden as all three to have visited the track revealed a fair degree of initial promise while the quartet of newcomers hail from yards perfectly capable of readying one first time. The question mark against all seven is their ability to handle soft ground but the vote goes to WELL ACQUAINTED, an eye-catching second in the Brocklesby at Doncaster's opening meeting. Clive Cox's inmate was only reeled in late on and looks sure to go one better sooner rather than later. Lyric Ace was backed as if defeat wasn't contemplated on his Kempton debut but ran green. He seems highly likely to improve for powerful connections but was a length and a quarter behind Mosstang that day and there should be little between them here. The market should be the best guide regarding the rest.
