Verdict

Lady Nouf and Secret Gesture are both nicely-bred fillies but are unlikely to come into their own until tackling middle-distances next season. Richard Hannon runs Perfect Calm, who is a half-sister to a couple of winners in the States, while Sir Henry Cecil's Conserve is from the same family as Prix Marcel Boussac winner Proportional and cost 80,000gns as a yearling. But DESERT IMAGE sets a fair standard on her debut second at Newbury and can go one better here with that run under her belt as it looks like Jalasaat is going to need more time.
