Verdict

Flamboyant Lad gets the confident vote here with Kabis Booie and Timber Ice put forward as the principle dangers. The selection was a beaten favourite last time behind Look Again at Nottingham, but this colt had previously run well at Newmarket's July meeting and he looks to have a leading chance here in this moderate contest. Kabis Booie showed plenty of promise on his two runs last season and he certainly looks the biggest danger to our selection here. However, he has not been seen on the racecourse since October last year and for that reason we are happy to take him on as he may just need the run. Timber Ice has shown a fair level of form and may be capable of making the frame, but he would need to show a significant improvement in order to get his head in front. Of the remainder, Wyvern is a well-bred colt from a leading yard and is worth noting in the market, but we will stick with Flamboyant Lad as our idea of the winner.
