Verdict

Crescent Beach was always travelling well when scoring over the course and distance, his first victory in 19 starts. The going that day was very fast so how he handles this ground is a matter of conjecture. Carli King has won on heavy ground between the flags in Ireland but hasn't had those conditions since joining Caroline Bailey. MEIRIG'S DREAM looks like a thorough stayer who will have his conditions here. He made a fair debut over fences at Uttoxeter and should be good enough. Phoenix Des Mottes has only been raised 2lb for scoring at Southwell and has won off higher marks in the past so has to be a threat despite being a couple of pounds out of the handicap while the maiden Lord Landen hails from a yard in good form and showed potential on his chasing debut at Towcester.
