Verdict

Repeater stayed on strongly to land a nursery over this trip at Ripon last month but Sir Mark Prescott's colt lacks the scope of ROUGEMONT. The latter was fancied for a Listed race at Newbury on his second start but failed to run up to the form of his earlier win in a Newmarket maiden. This stiff track and longer trip should play more to his strengths, however, and he is worth another chance. Tidal Way finally got off the mark in a soft-ground maiden at Thirsk last time but has a bit to find with Repeater on their run together at Epsom in July.
