Verdict

Winning pointer Turnworth has disappointed in two starts under rules and the Alner's gelding looks best watched in a race where it is hard to oppose VASODILATOR, who gets the vote with Circus Of Dreams rated the best of the remainder. The selection was just about the pick of these over hurdles, earning a rating of 125 after winning a maiden hurdle at Bangor in April in decisive fashion, and, having jumped well on his chasing debut at Sedgefield last month, he looks the one to beat. Richard Newland's Overstrand has a similar rating to Vasodilator over timber now having been rated as high as 148 at his best in November 2007 but he is not as good as that now and has not run up to a similar level of form in two previous starts over fences. Michael Chapman's Simplified is readily discounted and of more interest may be Oliver Sherwood's Circus Of Dreams, who ran well over fences here in December but disappointed at Ffos Las last time and he may have to settle for minor honours behind Vasodilator.
