      Verdict

Amuse Me couldn't handle a steep rise in the weights when bidding for a four-timer at Fakenham last month and is fancied to struggle again here. Mannlichen won by 15 lengths at Hereford on Sunday and could go close here despite the 7lb penalty but Ostland will probably need this, though is one to watch in the weeks ahead. The lightly-weighted Dot's Delight and Apache Chant could take a hand, while Valento possibly found 2m6f on soft ground too far at Wincanton last time. But we like the look of the novice EDUCATED EVANS, who had a stiff task under a penalty when fourth to Golden Chieftain at Chepstow in November. A short break may have allowed him to strengthen up a little and Nigel Twiston-Davies' six-year-old isn't overburdened here. Daring Origyn may still be too high in the weights but could be interesting if tackling fences in the near future
