Verdict

MONTY'S MOON was pulled up at Fontwell on his latest start but only went down by a neck over this C&D previously and, though 6lb higher today, is entitled to the vote in a race that won't take much winning. Chord hasn't been seen since springing a surprise at Plumpton in October but can't be ignored either, while first-time blinkers could wrest some improvement from Red Law. French Ties probably needs a longer trip, however, and his record over fences is poor while neither Roi De Garde nor Jolly Boys Outing make much appeal under their big weights.
