Verdict

Not the best of races to close proceedings but BLUE OWEN can score for the Harrington's. He showed the benefit of his opening run on soft going to run very well behind Dubh Eile on fast going at Gowran and can go one better. McLaren Vale won a point-to-point in March and made a bright start under Rules at Bellewstown earlier this month though a slightly longer trip would probably play more to his strengths. Nina Carberry's mount Fiord Cottage has looked moderate but Hurry Kitty has her first bumper start after a couple of reasonable runs over hurdles so she's one to keep an eye on. The market is best watched for clues to the remainder.
