    Verdict

CHAMPAGNE AGENT had been beaten at short odds in five bumpers before finally winning one at Cork where he always looked to be travelling well. He makes his debut over timber here but looks a decent prospect and can make a winning start. Fine Presentation looked suited by the quicker going at Clonmel and with the ground drying out he can improve again but it's Shrapnel who is likely to be the main threat. Charles Byrne's charge is another who has been attracting plenty of support and though occasionally disappointing his overall form suggests he would take advantage if the selection doesn't come up to scratch. Tirmoyle could get into the shake-up if taking his place from his first reserve spot.
