Prince Jock attracted good support on his debut at Cork and ran well enough behind Blasket Spirit to suggest the optimism wasn't misplaced. He'll have come on for the run as will Spelterini, who like many of Jim Bolger's newcomers just looked as though the experience would do him good on his debut at Dundalk. Shareen made a very encouraging debut at Dundalk in October and was sent off an odds-on favourite on her return a month later but was a big disappointment behind Knights Templar. Hot Sand has had plenty of chances but shouldn't be dismissed in what looks a moderate maiden but MUTAMALEQ looks the one to be on following a fine effort behind Dalkan at Dundalk in October, especially now that Dermot Weld has struck form.
