In depth

Verdict

It was soft ground when The Black Russian won at Sligo on Tuesday. He's worth taking on under a penalty on this faster going and FORMAL BID is preferred. The latter found only one too good over track and trip on his first start since January so gets the nod. Vinniespride finished well behind the selection last time but is better than that and Rock County is also capable of finishing closer after failing to recover from a bad mistake at Tramore last week. Mudaffar looks best of the remainder
