In depth

Verdict

Gamesters Lady gets the nod in the finale, with Ndola and Fenners others to keep tabs on. That said, Fantasy Ride is a useful tool on his day and he can go close if he gets the breaks in running. Fenners has dropped to an attractive mark and, as he looks Mick Easterby's best chance of a winner on the card, he should be monitored closely. A winner off a 1lb higher mark in May, Easterby's charge is well treated just now and it would be folly to rule out a big run. Ndola won an egg and spoon race last time and obviously has more on his plate tonight. Still the Barney Curley and Jamie Spencer conspiracy theorists may be out in force and this fellow seems sure to be a popular choice irrespective of his 5lb rise up the weight. This will help to boost the price on Gamesters Lady, who ran a blinder on her reappearance three weeks ago and, with her stamina now proven, Mark Brisbourne's filly gets our nod as the best bet in a tricky finale to the Kempton card.
