In depth

Verdict

UNDER THE PHONE is the only course and distance winner in the line-up and though he's been beaten twice since scoring here last month they were better races and a return to this grade can see him back in the winner's enclosure. New Horizons hasn't shown much to date but he's still a youngster and has a pedigree which suggests he'll get better with age. King's Request, three times a winner on the all-weather, makes his handicap debut over timber after showing plenty of promise but Pyrshan doesn't appear to have made progress after a promising start over hurdles at Huntingdon. Kublai has been staying on at one pace at around this trip and may do better when getting more of a stamina test.
