Verdict

EISTEDDFOD can come out on top here over Diriculous and Buachaill Dona. The selection goes well fresh as he proved when winning last time out over this course and distance. Consistency is not his strong point so there is a question mark over his ability to follow-up, but he brings the best recent form to the table and he is the one they all have to beat. Diriculous was competitive off this kind of mark towards the end of last season and if he is fit enough to do himself justice after a break then he looks sure to give our selection a race. Buachaill Dona bled from both nostrils after his last run, so there was an excuse for a below-par run, although he gives the impression that he has gone off the boil right now. It will be a surprise if either Drawnfromthepast or Sammy The Snake are good enough and we will stick with Eisteddfod as the pick.
