TUBBY ISAACS should be suited by this longer trip and can resume winning ways at the main expense of Gold Express and Fantosha. Peter Makin's charge has been in good form over six furlongs this year, winning two of his four starts, and hasn't been too harshly dealt with by the handicapper. He has his quirks and can look a little reluctant but he has plenty of ability and was finishing off his race strongly enough to think that he can improve again for this longer trip. The longer trip could also bring about some improvement from Gold Express who lacked the pace to be competitive over five at Great Leighs. He hasn't stood a great deal of racing but he's another not short of ability and market support for him would be encouraging. Fantosha travels from Ireland and this well bred maiden could well make her presence felt but Wing Play still has to prove his effectiveness at this trip and may well need a return to further. The selection may well give his supporters a nervous moment or two at the start of the race but if he gets away on terms then Tubbys Isaacs is unlikely to be far away.
