In depth

Verdict

Mickmacmagoole was such an easy winner last time out that a 7lb penalty may not be enough to stop him winning again; Maximix and Rapscallion may be the two to chase him home. Evan Williams' gelding is an enigmatic character who doesn't always find an awful lot for pressure. However to be fair he did quicken away nicely to score last time out and if in the same frame of mind then he could prove hard to beat. Despite the numbers there is plenty of deadwood in this lineup, and it may be Maximix who emerges as the chief danger. Gary Moore is a shrewd trainer and the horse will be suited by a return to the minimum trip. Rawaabet is better than he showed last time out, whilst Napoletano could go well now encountering handicap company for the first time. Rapscallion ran well in defeat just a weak ago and has claims, although fresh may be the best time to catch him. At a price Golden Square could run into a place, however it is Mickmacmagoole who can win again.
