In depth

Verdict

Norman Tradition is selected here ahead of Handset and Power Ballad. Handset has been second on each of her last two runs and, even though the form of those runs barely rates at 70, she has to be given serious thought in what is a modest affair. With her stable in good form, Norman Tradition, who showed improvement at Wolverhampton last time, comes into the reckoning, while Power Ballad has to be given some thought having shown promise on her Turf debut last season, even though she has not been seen since. Finally, Split The Wind holds something of a chance based on her best pieces of form and Highest Esteem showed promise on his debut but flopped last time but, dropped in trip from that run, he is not ruled out. However, for the selection, we will side with Norman Tradition.
