Verdict

WEST WIZARD was mightily impressive on his racecourse debut in a bumper here in March, beating The Pirate's Queen and The Skyfarmer with consummate ease. The second and third both won bumpers next time and the latter has already won over hurdles this season. Nicky Henderson's four-year-old looks a fine prospect and can get the better of Sgt Reckless, another decent bumper winner who was third at Wincanton on his hurdling debut. Hawaii Five Nil needs to improve his jumping but kept on well at Cheltenham last month and will come into his own when tackling further.
