In depth

Verdict

EMIRATES WORLD was an impressive winner last time out and he looks a good bet to follow-up here; the list of dangers is headed by Markyg and Auld Arty. Mark Johnston's 3-year-old won well when beating Banda Sea at Lingfield last time. He looks a different horse since being gelded and with the promise of more to come he is a confident pick to get his head in front again. Markyg has to be of interest as he won well here last time out when he beat History Lesson. He is a scopey sort and there should be more to come, so he has to be respected. Auld Arty was ridden from the front at Lingfield last time and the change of tactics seemed to work the oracle as he beat The Winged Assassin by a head to gain his first success. He has more on his plate today and he is upped in trip, but he is nonetheless worthy of consideration. Grand Honour is the only course and distance winner in the field and he is another to consider, but Emirates World looks to be on an upward curve and he can win again.
