Verdict

DUBAWI ISLAND won his maiden in good style on the Fibresand at Southwell last month but he'd gone close over C&D before that. Still improving, James Tate's three-year-old is fancied to score on his handicap debut. Little Black Book went close in a decent handicap at Wolverhampton on Friday and can figure again while Great Shot can usually be relied on to run his race and makes more appeal than Sir Trevor. Snow Trooper remains 6lb higher than June's victory at Windsor, however, while Shamir needs to step up on his recent form despite today's drop in class.
