Verdict

In a handicap that won't take much winning CLEVER OMNEYA is proven over course and distance and remains in good form so is our best suggestion in preference to Louisade and Royal Acclamation. Still unexposed the selection scored over course and distance when five pounds better off three starts ago. Both starts since have been encouraging and the was enough to like about her last run to suggest she can win off this mark. Louisade is now a fully fledged member of the near miss merchants' club having missed out by a length or less in each of his last three starts. While he should run his race again the assessor has seen it fit to raise his mark which might just keep him in minor honours again. Royal Acclamation is weighted to get the better of Metropolitan Chief based on their last meeting and if continuing on his recent progressive looking form he holds every chance. Yakama might be the one for each-way punters after his run behind Sworn Tigress last time but Clever Omneya looks to have the least to prove of the line-up.
