In depth

Verdict

Art Man, Confidentiality and Scamperdale make most appeal in this handicap and the vote goes to Art Man. The selection arrives here in good form and he was only beaten a neck by Mataram at Lingfield last time. He is a gutsy type and he should take plenty of beating from his positive draw. Confidentiality won 6 in a row last year and although she went close last time, the worry is that the handicapper currently has her measure. Scamperdale is on the hat-trick bid here and he has a good draw, but he is creeping up the weights and that just might anchor his challenge today. Blacktoft is from a shrewd yard so is worth noting in the market, but Art Man showed enough last time to make him the one to beat today.
