In depth

Verdict

Valery Borzov was unlucky last time and he can gain his compensation tonight; Dvinsky and Cativo Cavallino are the obvious alternatives. The selection made late headway last time when he chased home Holbeck Ghyll here, and given a more positive ride tonight he should be able to land the prize. Divinsky goes well at this venue but he finished behind our seelction last time and he is not ideally drawn for one who likes to trailblaze. Cativo Cavallino has plenty of ability and he has a good draw but he is not well-handicapped at present and for that reason we will take him on. Louphole is a course and distance winner and he will get maximum assistance from Seb Sanders in the plate so he is another to consider. However, for the winner we are happy to stick with Valery Borzov.
