Layl only won a three-runner race at Wolverhampton last time but is on the up. Nautilus was taking on better opposition at Lingfield last time and has won at Newmarket and Leicester this year. He's not easily dismissed while Castilo Del Diablo has yet to finish out of the first two in three previous runs here and should be in the firing-line again. Karam Albaari was runner-up over course and distance earlier this month and is only 2lb higher and Rio's Rosanna should go close if reproducing his second in the November Handicap as he's weighted to reverse Carlisle running with Open Eagle in September. SPIFER hasn't been disgraced on Turf recently but this is his favourite track and a repeat of his run behind Expert Fighter here in May would make him hard to beat.
