Verdict

REPLICATOR is the pick with Riflessione and Romantic Queen also of interest. Two wins in as many races have illustrated the recent improvement of this noted front runner and we can be confident about anticipating similar tactics again. Riflessione has gone up a further 7lb in the handicap for victory at Wolverhampton. This is a much tougher assignment in more ways than one. George Baker has two entered. Matthew Davies is well worth his 5lb claim and it could be worth siding with him on Romantic Queen. She is better known around Lingfield and may appreciate the change of scenery. Chjimes won well at Lingfield last time out but his better performances are always there and it is with reluctance that we avoid him on this occasion. Gone Hunting has been dropped significantly down the weights of late and if the market speaks favourably about Jeff Pearce's gelding, the sentiment should not be ignored. Tubby Isaacs was a progressive performer for Peter Makin a couple of seasons ago. He might just need this first run back. A fair end to a decent card and Replicator is best placed to prosper.
