In depth

Verdict

Now with Paul Blockley, Hidden Dragon bounced back to form when landing a conditions event at Thirsk, in a decent time. However, he did have the run of the race that day and will find things more difficult in this. Proud Native has been a grand servant to connections, but now nine, he is hardly likely to be getting any quicker. Another of the same age, Dancing Mystery, has also been a money spinner for her small stable, but she has plenty to prove at this level, while Little Edward also has plenty to prove in this grade. Danger Over, four times a winner in France, including picking up a Group 3 event, may find this ground on the lively side, so the choice has to be The Tatling, who gets in here without a penalty for his win in a handicap last backend. He has gone well fresh in the past and will not mind the fast ground.
