TUSCAN GOLD looks the pick here, ahead of High Ransom and Spice Fair. It's by far the longest trip Sir Mark Prescott's colt has faced, but he looks a progressive sort, and is racing off a very far mark following a good second last time out at Haydock. But for a slow start then and a bit of trouble in running he may have been a bit closer to the winner, but at least with two miles to travel, he's got time to overcome any tardiness. High Ransom is another that looks to be heading in the right direction. Beaten last time out by Motrice at Haydock, the winner's since gone on to repeat the trick. Spice Fair is another yet to win a race, but has been showing some decent form of late, and again is expected to get this new trip. Pollan Bay, Bethlehem and Lis Pendens all look to have far too much on their plate; joint top-weights Lauberhorn and Baibars look high enough in the weights, and preference is for Tuscan Gold.
