Fenners gets the vote over Recalcitrant, with Papradon and Fantasy Ride others to consider in an open finale. Mick Easterby does not have too many runners on the Kempton Polytrack, so the fact that he sends Fenners could be a tip in itself. The four-year-old had his first taste of the all-weather when finishing second here three weeks ago, and that has no doubt encouraged connections to turn up again. He gets the call over Recalcitrant, who was also second last time when chasing home Ryedale Ovation here 12 days ago. He has more experience on the sand, so has to be a danger. Papradon drops back in trip after running over 14-furlongs at Wolverhampton, and that may see him run a big race, while Fantasy Ride was behind Recalcitrant here last time but is slightly better off at the weights. All in all, a pretty open affair can go to Fenners.
