BOUGAINVILIA can gain reward for her consistency in the finale. Richard Hannon's charge was a debut Goodwood scorer over a mile but has been going well since dropped back to sprint trips and has not been very far away in her last three starts, while creeping up the handicap. She remains on a mark of 83 today and can come good. Crown is 4lbs higher than a narrow course and distance success last time and has managed to string two wins together before, so she should not be dismissed lightly. Hairspray is 3lbs higher than when winning at Epsom and has to be considered, though preference is for Bougainvilia. (Jonathan Doidge)
