In depth

Verdict

VERY WELL RED increased her win tally to 14 when scoring at Wolverhampton last time and she may not have finished yet. She beat subsequent winner On The Cusp on that occasion and, though 4lb higher today, was winning off a much higher mark on the turf as recently as June last year. Dilys Maud had Sunset Boulevard behind when runner-up at Lingfield last month and the latter has since finished in front of Etruscan and Marmooq, while Noah Jameel could prove a threat with a 7lb claimer taking over the reins.
