Verdict

Scottish Lake won a classified event here on his belated seasonal debut and first run for current connections. This is more difficult, however, and last month's Lingfield winner Paphos is preferred despite his annoying habit of being slowly away. DOZY JOE's recent form doesn't exactly fill one with confidence but he's finally dropping down a grade and with Michael Murphy's 7lb claim further helping his cause, he gets the speculative vote to get his back in front. Course winner Sunshine Always could also figure if fully tuned-up for his first start of the year.
