Verdict

REDVERS landed his maiden over today's trip at Pontefract last month. He handles Polytrack and Ralph Beckett's gelding is taken to follow-up on his handicap debut given both of Barnet Fair's recent wins came over 5f as did Perfect Pastime's victory at Goodwood. In contrast, Sand Owl and Firstknight have done their winning over a longer distance, while Flashbang has been well beaten in a couple of starts on turf since scoring here in April.
