In depth

Verdict

DANCER IN DEMAND should be the one to be on in this ordinary looking maiden, and is taken to land it ahead of Favours Brave and Khan Tengri. Sir Michael Stoute's only runner on the night is having his third outing. Placed on debut, that race hasn't worked out particularly well, and he ran a shocker second time out. Having had a good winter's schooling though, more can be expected of this son of Danehill Dancer, who's also related to the 2004 Derby winner North Light. Any John Gosden horse demands respect here, with the yard having a 20% strike rate, but Favours Brave will need to show a little more than last time out to be involved. Khan Tengri has been placed in three of his four starts, and was a decent runner up last month on his seasonal debut. He's entitled to come on for that, but although this is a step up in trip, he doesn't seem to have any stamina issues. As ever in this sort of race any market support should be noted, especially for any of the trio of newcomers King Red, Qedaam or Brave Beat, but we'll side with Dancer In Demand.
