In depth

Verdict

Madroos, Free To Air and Faversham are the three that catch the eye here and Madroos is taken to follow up a Goodwood win on his seasonal debut. Faversham won on his debut but was well beaten when upped in grade in handicap company next time. He will have learnt from the experience as that was only his second outing and will go close. Free To Air is six pounds better off for a three length beating by Madroos and will have his supporters after scoring at Southwell and Windsor. However, the Andrew Balding yard is not firing and he is overlooked. Madroos showed some promise as a two year old but benefited from a step up in trip to win from Cool Customer and the form looks solid. Madroos is lightly raced and open to improvement and can confirm superiority with Free To Air.
