Verdict

TATIANA ROMANOVA showed real promise on her debut and is taken to break her maiden tag at the second attempt, while both Magic Lantern and Cloud's End are worthy of respect. The selection finished second to Sand Skier in a maiden at Hamilton last month and gets a chance to run against her own sex this time around. She is bound to have benefited from her debut and with further improvement to come she is sure to be in the shake-up. Magic Lantern was outclassed in a hot sales race at Ascot last time out and is sure to fare better against this easier opposition. Her maiden form looks rock-solid and with luck in running she is sure to give her supporters a good run for their money. Cloud's End ran with promise on her debut at Nottingham after finishing third of seven and is another that can be added to the short list.
