In depth

Verdict

EXCELLENT JEM was having only his fourth start on the surface when scoring at Wolverhampton and a 5lb rise may not be enough to prevent a follow-up with his young rider's claim a major bonus. Sheikh The Reins could prove a threat as he has won twice on this surface from seven starts including in this class here while Golden Desert usually runs well here and is just 2lb higher than his victory here in November. Mick Dundee easily landed a Lingfield seller in January and didn't handle the Fibresand on his return from a long absence last month. Bussa hasn't been running well on Turf but this is his surface and he isn't badly treated with Declan Bates' claim a big help.
