Verdict

FAMOUS POET finished a creditable fourth in much better company at Epsom last month behind the progressive Laffan. He should have no problem with the extra furlong here and the course winner can return to winning ways. He makes more appeal than Rio Grande who returned to action with an easy victory in a three-runner affair over C&D but others with decent claims include Sinfonico, who saves his best for this track and Great Shot, a cosy winner here in May and only 2lb higher today. Morning Charm is the dark horse as she's been kept in training despite not having raced since winning on her debut at Newmarket in 2010.
