    Verdict

Primo Gold disappointed on a soft surface at Redcar last time but has solid claims on the evidence of previous form here and Walter Swinburn's gelding gets the vote back on the Polytrack with the main dangers looking to be Salvestro and Emotive. The last mentioned looks plenty high enough in the weights now and may struggle to give weight away all round so is probably best watched. Panic Stations remains a maiden after 10 starts but has run well in defeat, including on this surface, and Michael Bell's filly should win a race sometime. Hot Agnes looks to be going the right way and cannot be discounted, while Dark Moon has claims on recent turf form but disappointed on her only previous try on Polytrack. Salvestro is consistent but is another that has had plenty of chances and preference is for Primo Gold, who should appreciate the return to the sand.
