Verdict

The veteran John Potts has been enjoying a new lease of life this year though he's yet to win away from his favourite course of Wolverhampton. Secret Success won here before failing off a higher mark at Brighton in October and Automotive struggled after landing an amateurs race at Goodwood last year. Newbury winner Shahrazad is rated much higher on the polytrack but all-weather regulars Divine Rule and Katmai River occasionally pop-up at this level. SHIFTING STAR went close despite finishing only fourth here last week and it could be his turn today dropping down a grade.
