        Verdict

        Vilna is likely to be a warm order here and is selected ahead of Shy and Loyal Knight. The Michael Tabor owned gelding has attracted support on each of his last three starts and landed the money in fine style just a week ago in what appeared to be a competitive handicap. He has less to beat here and should make light of his penalty if the headgear works as well as it did last time. Shy has proved to be a consistent performer although she was slightly below par last time. That wasn't a bad race but she has to bounce back from the run and has shaped as though she may require a stiffer test. Wise Hawk has his first run since going through the ring and is best watched as are one or two of the others. Loyal Knight's rating has plummeted following some lacklustre efforts but he has a perfect record on the all-weather and is thus of interest. Novestar is respected but is on a career high mark and will find easier opportunities to win his sixth race of the year. This can go the way of Vilna.
