More than half the field of 13 have won at this distance, and from a trio of Hilbre Court, Golden Penny and Ebn Malk, we'll select the first named. Placed in his last couple of runs, including a better handicap here last month, Hilbre Court had seemed to return to winning form last month only to be disqualified when William Buick weighed in light. Ebn Malk justified favouritism last time out on heavy going over a mile at Thirsk, but this is his first outing on the all weather Golden Penny, from Hughie Morrison's in-form yard, gets weight from most rivals and Travis Block can claim a useful 3 pounds. He's got a good draw which could be crucial in this. Plenty appear to have chances, but we'll side with Hilbre Court.
