In depth

Verdict

Whipper Snapper got his head in front in the dying strides over a mile here last week. This shorter trip is no problem but a 6lb penalty may well be. Athletic is facing a tougher task having won at Brighton last time and so is February's Lingfield winner The Happy Hammer. Bayleyf finally showed some improvement for plummeting down the weights when second on last week's reappearance while Gold Beau and Mac's Superstar have both been placed here before. But this looks slightly easier than GLANELY's recent tasks and he gets the nod off his current mark with Richard Hughes taking over the reins today.
